Royal Haskoning undertook a pioneering study assessing climate change impacts on all Northumbrian Waters water supply and wastewater assets across the North East region, projecting likely changes and impacts for a number of future time horizons. At the first stage, the focus was primarily on future flood risks to critical infrastructure, but the project is now progressed with a more focused assessment on those assets identified as greatest risk by the earlier scoping study.
