Expertise: Development of the CIRIA manuals with best practices for SUDS.

Thanks to its expertise and experience, Royal Haskoning was a core programme member in the team that developed the CIRIA manuals, which set out current best practice and design techniques for sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) in the UK. A manual was needed because of the multidisciplinary aspects of sustainable water drainage. The principles of SUDS aim to ensure that surface water drainage systems are sustainable while maintaining water quantity and quality.
