The World (Dubai) Environmental Impact Assessment

Clientname: Nakheel
Year: 2008
Clienttype:
Location: Dubai
Expertise: Ensuring the sustainability of Dubai's project 'The World'

To make sure Dubai's project The World is sustainable, Nakheel commissioned Royal Haskoning to undertake an environmental impact assessment (EIA). A climate change and sustainable development plan was a major aspect of this EIA. Any potential environmental damage has to be mitigated to ensure that The World development embraces the concept of sustainability so that it does not add to climate change and can endure the effects of it.
