New Volker Wessels Vastgoed office workshop (Zoetermeer, Netherlands)

Clientname: Volker Wessels
Year: 2008
Clienttype: Private
Location: Zoetermeer, the Netherlands
Expertise: Innovatively coming to a plan for a sustainable but affordable new office building.

In its desire to build a new sustainable office in Zoetermeer (near The Hague and Rotterdam), Volker Wessels Vastgoed asked Royal Haskoning to organize a workshop in order to determine what this new building should look like from a sustainable perspective. In this session, several divisions of Royal Haskoning (building services, building management & consultancy, architecture & building) expressed their views on sustainability and what consequences these views have on the new office of the real estate company. Healthy work conditions, low energy-use and CO2-emission, and the use of sustainable materials were demanded, while the office still had to be affordable as well.
